Celebrata anche quest’anno il giorno 1 giugno a Domnak Chamboak la Giornata Internazionale del Fanciullo. Appuntamento per riunire i nostri bimbi al nostro Centro e per parlare di diritti, oltre che per  divertirsi un po’ e fare un po’ di festa. / Once again this year on 1 June The International Children Day was celebrated in Domnak Chamboak. A good time to get our children together and speak about children’s rights, besides having a little fun and a nice party.

Il team di Shade for Children, la nostra organizzazione gemella che gestisce operativamente il Centro, ha organizzato l’evento per l’occasione. / The team of Shade for Children, our sister organization in Cambodia that operatively manages the Center, organized the event for the children.

Un breve discorso sulla giornata da celebrare per ricordare ai bambini cosa rappresenta l’International Children Day, domande e risposte sui diritti dei bambini e poi tutti a giocare e mangiare insieme. / A short speech about Children’s Day, Q&A about children’s rights, and then all together to play and eat.

La nostra Mission, con la M maiuscola è sempre quella di fare in modo che sempre più bambini possano godere dei diritti che devono essere loro riconosciuti. Il diritto ad avere un’istruzione, il diritto alla salute, il diritto ad una adeguata nutrizione, il diritto di essere bambini e poter giocare, stare insieme agli altri bimbi e vivere in un ambiente sano sia dal punto di vista igienico che sociale. / Our Mission, with the capital letter M, is always to do everything we can in order to guarantee to the children their rights. The right to a proper instruction, the right to have a healthy living, the right to have a proper diet, the right to be children and live freely their childhood, to be able to spend time playing with their friends and to live in a healthy environment, also as far as social environment.

La celebrazione dell’International Children Day mi ricorda che lo scorso anno lo avevo passato insieme ai nostri bimbi, durante la mia missione di monitoraggio del progetto tra la fine di maggio e la prima parte di giugno. Un bellissimo ricordo. L’abbraccio dei bambini. La distribuzione periodica di materiali. L’incontro con le famiglie. L’allegria contagiosa. Davvero bei ricordi e tanta nostalgia. Voglia di tornare al più presto laggiù./ The celebration of International Children Day reminds me that last year I spent the day with our children, during my mission to monitor the project, done between the end of May and the first half of June. Very nice memories. The hug of the children. The peridodical distribution of material. The meeting with the families. The contagious cheerfulness of the children. Nice nice memories and much nostalgia. Want to be back there as soon as possible.
