Partito da KEP con bel tempo. Strada facendo si mette a piovere e Dom mi chiede dentro, non vedo niente,una brutta sensazione. / Left from Kep in bright sun light. Along the road it started to rain and Dom closed me in, I couldn’t see a thing, horrid feeling.

Come al solito sono arrivata al centro mentre i bambini facevano la merenda, fetta di torta, confezionata, ed una confezione di latte di soia. Mi fanno ridere perché la torta è due fette con una crema in mezzo e la stragrande maggioranza lo apre e lecca via la crema prima di mangiare la torta. Guai a chi lascia in giro la carta della torta o la confezione di latte, vanno tutti buttati in un grosso contenitore circolare di cemento e alla fine della giornata bruciate. Ahi me si. Perfino bottiglie di plastica e confezioni di polistirolo. Ma purtroppo qui non esiste una raccolta rifiuti figuriamoci la differenziata. Eppure ho visto gente con sacchi di bottiglia di plastica, lattine e cartoni in giro. Sokkea mi ha detto che cercherà qualcuno che puoi venire a raccogliere almeno la plastica. / As usual,I arrived at the center as the children were having their morning break, a piece of cake, of the pre-wrapped variety and a carton of soya milk. They make me laugh because the cake is sandwiched together with a bit of cream and the majority always slip them open and lick out the cream before eating the cake. It’s forbidden to leave cake paper or milk cartons around, they are all thrown into a big circular cement container where it is all burnt at the end of the day. Unfortunately yes. Even plastic bottles and polystyrene contenders. Unfortunately there is no rubbish collection here never mind separated collections. And yet I have seen people with sacks of plastic bottles or tin cans and also packs of cardboard. Sokkea has told me he will try to find someone who will come and collect at least the plastic.

Evidentemente i bambini non sono stati bravi a pulire i denti ultimamente, perché oggi Channa li ha messi in fila e hanno fatto una pulizia di dente in massa. Anche io ho dato buon esempio per il divertimento dei bambini. / Obviously the children have not been very good about cleaning their teeth recently because, today, Channa got them all lined up and they had a mass teeth cleaning. I joined to give a good example much to the children’s amusement.

Povera prima classe. Oggi gli ho fatto divertire ma anche lavorare. Abbiamo guardato una canzone su dire “Hello” e le risposte. Guardato uno  due, tre volte. Poi l’abbiamo guardato fermando il filmato ad ogni frase per permetterli di scriverlo (e scritto sul filmato).  Sono stati bravi, era lungo ma siamo arrivati in fondo con il tempo per spiegare, a gesti e mima il significato delle parole, per il grande divertimento di Visal che si siede in prima fila e scherza sempre. Per qualche motivo, durante l’intervallo l’abbiamo trovato con 2 tortine. Alla richiesta di spiegazione ha detto che lui lavora il doppio. E più probabile che ha un amico alla quale non piace la torta. / Poor first class. Today I kept them amused but I also made them work hard. We watched a “Hello” song with responses. We watched it, once, twice, three times. We then watched and I stopped for every verse to enable them to copy it down as the words were written on the video. They were really good, it was quite long but we got to the end with time to spare for explanations of the words through hand and face gestures and mimics, to the great pleasure of Visal who always sits at the front desk and jokes all the time. For some reason, during the break, we found him with two cakes. When asked for an explanation it promptly came that he workers twice as hard as anybody else. It’s more likely that he has a friend who doesn’t like cake!

I mostri hanno ripeto ancora una volta ABC, ma con i canzoni. / The monsters repeated once more the ABC but with songs.

Uffa, mi sto addormentando con iPad in mano rischiando di farlo cadere, quello non me lo posso permettere. / Oh no I’m going to sleep with the risk that my IPad will fall, I can’t permit myself that.
